Hi Klaus,
Thanks for your reply. I changed the fuel filter and although intially I thought it had done the trick, subsequent starting i still sluggish.

I'd thought of cleaning throttle body but someone told me that it was unlikely to be an issue with the turbo version. Cant hurt to do so now anyway. Will also check idle air control as per you suggestion (once I find out where it is!).
