850 A7 DTC Codes missing 850

'94 Volvo 850 - I can read codes from A3 and A6, but I get nothing from A7. I push the button, as with other sockets, but when I release the DTC button, I get nothing. I checked the wire and A7 socket and all looks fine. Anyone have any ideas?
