QUESTIONS ON CONTROL ARMS 850

Hi there

I own two 850 GLT N/A, both '96s (a wagon & a sedan) and both of them having about the same mileage on the clock and both of them drives on the same type of roads. 6 years ago, I used to replace the control arms the same weekend on both cars with OEM ones and today, both of them needs to be replaced again but for a different reason. On the wagon, the 2 bushings are worn but the balljoint is still very tight but on the sedan it is totally the opposite, the bushings are still excellent but the balljoint is loose.

Question # 1: Is there a specific reason why the bushings are getting worn faster
than the balljoint and contrariwise ?

Question # 2: Would it be possible to "transfer" the good bushings from one arm to
the other?

Thanks !
