which oil viscosity to use.......paraffin or graphite 850 1996

Thank you for the help! I am thinking that 10/40 is the way to go. I am going to change the oil this weekend, and see what happens. Just to let everyone know: My dad has been using 20/50 in his Volvos since '75, and has always got 300k plus out of his engines. It just seems that the pump is having problems getting the oil to the top of the engine in the morning. Have a wonderful evening one and all :)
