Trunk Falsely Ajar, Plus Door Lock Issue S70 2000

Hopefully, somebody can help me. I have had numerous electrical issues over the last three years (including three immobilizer replacements, master window switch replacements, and everyone's favorite the ETS software upgrade and ETS replacement), but this one takes the cake. I am not the only one who was witnessed this issue, my husband and my son can both testify that I am not making this one up.

About a year ago, my S70 believed that the trunk was ajar all the time, even though it wasn't. I brought it in to the dealer way across town (the dealer closer to me had a two week wait - and I couldn't listen to the incessant dinging that long, so off I went across town). The car also had the annoying problem of refusing to lock when in Park, idling at a stop light, or in reverse. The service folks found that the trunk lamp circuit had a short and they ordered and installed a lock control module. Two long trips across town, but I thought that was the end of the story. Not so.

Fast forward to March of 2007. Same problem. This time I have the luxury of bringing it to the dealership closer to my side of town. They didn't find a faulty lock control module, but repaired open in seatbelt reminder circuit wire. They even went so far as to say that the dealership across town put in a unnecessary part. Whatever. I thought my car was fixed again. Again, not so.

Last Friday afternoon, the same problem re-occurs. I finally got in to the service department on my side of town and while the service consultant witnesses the problem, an hour later the technician cannot detect the problem. I am sent on my way with the car magically fixed. Of course, later on this evening when driving home from work, the dinging reappears.

I have an appointment next Tuesday at the same dealership. Aside from not turning off the car and forcing the technician to sit right next to me while the darn car is dinging, does anyone have any suggestions? I used to be a loyal Volvo enthusiast, but this last round of issues has really left a sour taste in my mouth.
