1998 V70 T5 - wiper blades doesn'i work smoothly V70-XC70

I had this problem when I tried to use replacement rubber blades in the existing arms. The replacements were too wide and, I think, the edges occasionally caught on the glass and caused the blade to jump up. The only solution I can suggest is the expensive one: buy new stock Volvo blades. That solved the trick for me. The stock ones last 2 or 3 years despite the intense summer sun.
