Now, if we could just find a guy who rebuilds driver side master window control switches as quickly and inexpensively as Victor does ABS controllers.
I pulled mine yesterday, opened it, cleaned out the debris, and cleaned the all the contacts. Still didn't work ... and the window was DOWN. So, off to the dealer, and I plunked down about $160 for a new one. For $160 I figured that gave me the right to rant for a minute, so I opined loudly about Volvo's masterpiece of really dumb engineering. If they had set out to design a device which would trap cat and dog hair, fingernails, dead skin, lint, coffee, soda, and rain ... any or all of which can destroy the switch ... they could not have done a better job.
Ahhhh .... but the Archives are full of such rants already.
