Your gear shift needs to go into gear. This is your problem. I's probably going, but the button on the gear shift is not disengaging. If what I'm saying is hitting the right chord, then spray the inside of the button with some WD-40 and it should then work. I had this before, about a year ago. Also, try turning your steering wheel as you pull the key out.
