Fuel filter replacement tips S70 1998

Going to replace the fuel filter for the first time on this car. I looked and did not see the usual pressure banjo fittings with bolts, so I need some advice on how to undo the fittings. My Haynes (UK hardocver eddition) simply says: using a 17mm spanner remove the hoses off the filter. Pretty bad description, but maybe that's all there is to it? Do I just pull the cuffs away from the filter? If anyone has done this, please let me know. Also any and all tips, tricks and cheats are going to be appreciated.
