how often to replace pollen filter 850 1996

Hard to say. All depends on how much dust you drive thru and how much you use the recirc feature. If recirc is always on you're not using the filter at all and it probably won't get very dirty. You really should use it every once in a while though to keep it dried out and prevent mold from growing.
