Heater core. If you are in there replace the evaporator as well. This is a weak spot on the cars and is a bear to get to. My heater core failed on my 1998 S70, so I replaced the evaporator as well. Now 132K on it.

Best car I have ever owned!!!!!

98 S70 5 speed
2001 V70 T5 5 speed.
