Haynes puts out a manual for the 1998 70 series, and even though is the UK version, it is quite useful. www.ipd.com sells it.

Also, alldatadiy.com has subscriptions available.

I agree with the heater core. Mine went at about 58k miles. Very common problem on some of these vehicles.
