98 v70 Turbo no spark V70-XC70

I have just finished putting a new head gasket on my 98 V70 T and tried to start it. I have no spark. The battery has been disconnected for about 6 weeks. Does the alarm circuit have anything to do with this? Do I have to reset something? Some direction would be welcome. I will check to see if there is voltage on the coil. I need help on step 2. Thanks in advance Steve
