I find it difficult to drain the oil sump, there is obviously old oil trapped inside which contaminates the new oil. I drain with hot engine and I let it drip for hours.. (filter cartridge replaced as well, cup and mount cleaned..)
I have tried to lean the car somewhat both sideways and aft while draining but no major difference
It does help to flush with half a litre low-cost oil, tried that last time and that was the first time the new oil stayed transparent. But is that really the only way to get rid of the old oil?
