V70 vs XC AWD - both 2001 2001

The FWD will have the same bhp as your 850 and about the same problems, except for the throttle by wire problem. Any part that needs to be replaced will cost more than an 850 part.
If the XC is a high pressure turbo w/240 bhp, hang on for fun, but the gas milage will go down. A low pressure turbo will put out 201bhp and save you some money on gas. The AWD was "fixed" in 2001, I think, but you will still need to make sure you rotate the tires every 5K miles and replace all 4 at the same time.
It is nice having the window switches on the door, the XC cupholders are more sturdy and the car as a whole rides better then the plain FWD model. Make sure you get 2 key fobs, and that both work.
