aux. electrical connector V70-XC70 1998

I installed auxillary driving lights on my 1998 V70, by using this connector. If I can recall, it was green in color and was described in the service manual for the correct terminals. Yes, the plug was located around the steering coloumn, when you remove the kick plate.

I recall obtaining the metal connectors from the Volvo dealership, but you have to find one that is interested in finding these obscur parts. The male portion of the plug was connected to the powered side and all you needed to do was connect your wires to the metal connectors. I do not recall seeing this accessory plug on the 1999 V70, so they may have dropped the option. You could pick up the +12 volts from the accessory plug as well. Be careful not to just splice into an existing wire. I have head horror stories about frying the computer or fowling up the software by using our old practise of just splicing in anywhere. Hope this works for you.
