Oxygen Sensor 2000 S70 GLT Question. S70

Here is my problem. On my GLT, while going at a constant speed, say 40 or 60mph, I notice an occasional dip in rpm and it seems like the engine 'stalls' or 'sputters' for a second or two. The Check Engine lite has not come on, the engine does not shut off and it when accelerating from 0 to 60, it never does this. only when maintaining a certain speed.

At first, I thought it was some cheap gas, so I put a bottle of Chevron fuel system cleaner in, but that hasn't fixed it. It seems like its getting slightly worse. Anybody care to take a guess?

Does the cars computer store codes in it, even if the check engine light does NOT come on?

I love the car, its got 69k miles on it and I want to keep for a long time, I was also thinking of having the dealer put in a new thermostat, oxygen sensors and maybe a fuel filter since it seems most of those go out between 75 to 100k miles.

Thanks for any help. This is great.
