850 GLT OBB2 401 and 102 850 1996

My son just returned for college with my 1996 850GLT. 104,000. Two Error codes are tripping the CEL. P0410 Secondary Air Flow Injector System Malfuntion and P0102 Mass or Volume Circuit Low Input.

It would seem that these two codes are related to air intake. Were should I go from here?

He complains of the engine stalling out and failing to respond to acceleration. I was suspecting the O2' as the exhaust smells and the tail pipe is very black.
