BIG Probelm - ETS Light coming on followed by Engine Management V70-XC70 1999

I too am having this problem with my V70 GLT. It started at only 33,000mi. I took it to a dealer twice and both times they said there was nothing wrong with the throttle system. All they did was reset the darn thing. Now at 64,000miles, the problem has surfaced again upon quick acceleration. Has anyone tried to contact Volvo direct instead of through the dealers? I'm tempted to just get rid of mine, but I do love everything else about it!
