Rough Idle...puzzled? C70 1999

Over the past 4 months, I've had this idling problem on my car. It's been getting worse as of late, so I'm finally fed up with it and asking for any advice as to what the problem may be??

Whenever I'm stopped at a red light, the car would idle up and down from 800-1000 RPM...it just keeps on going "vroom, vroom, vroom". This also occurs everytime when I start the car. When I put the car in *neutral* the sound goes away (I have an automatic). The car also feels like it has a loss of power when accelerating or switching between gears, but I'm not sure if this is related to the idle problem.

All the necessary maintenance (oil change, spark plugs, filters, fluids) has been done on the car and there is no check engine light on. The car has 77,000 miles. The throttle body has never been cleaned. That's about it. If there's any other information that you would need to help with my problem, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!
