2001 Geartronic Valve Body Inquiry V70-XC70 2001

Have an '01 v70 t-5 with geartronic. have had intermittent transmission problems throughout the two years i've owned the car. many software downloads have been tried, and the most recent did help the shift points. transmission still sluggish and erratic, i.e., hitting gas and hesitation before forward movement, rough downshifts and upshifts in geartronic and auto mode, a "rumbling" feel as the car slows to a stop in drive.

i'm particularly interested in owners who have had the valve body replacement. my dealer was unable to find info on this in the tech notes. how was this accomplished, what conditions led the dealer to replace it; am meeting with vcna rep this friday on the issue, for drive and "flight recorder" installation.

otherwise, very, very happy with the car and the service; this one thing (actually a combination of things) still overshadows my ownership experience.
