Working on a do it yourself air intake upgrade. S70 1999

I redid my own intake a while ago on my NA 99' S70.

I got my car new so spending the extra money on the turbos was not an option at the time.

For those who want to add a better breathing system to their brick I plan on working on it a bit more for users who want 5-10+ hp for spending about $65 (on a filter, some tubing, and special tape) and 30-45 minutes of working on the intake. This is for those users who do not want to remove their air intake box (resale purposes, price, etc...) and add some extra hp for a cold air intake.
I do not know if this would work on 850s but it does on S70s. I assume it should work with 850s because the placement of components and frame around inside the engine seems to be the same as its younger brother the S70.

A major concern is water getting into the engine. I have had my intake the way it is for over 1 1/2 years now and no problems have occured from the intake being the way it is. You should have no problem as long as you dont spray a hose right into the right side of your grille facing it (left side if you are driving).

With this small system you can really feel the extra boost when you are on the highway in 40-60 degree temperatures when you punch it. It still works well with the other temps, but those seem to be the best so far. Much more air reaches your engine, but not too much to over do it.

If anyone is interested, I'll take out time to refine it a bit more and do some more research.
