REAR WHEEL STICKING V70-XC70

Agreed, could very well be the emergency brake. Check it out first. If not, then move on to the rear wheel/hub. Is there any bearing type noise at that wheel? Believe bearing noise will be more high pitched. As suggested, jack it up, spin the wheel apply the hand brake and listen. That will tell you a lot.

Worse case scenario, if it is indeed the bearing, it actually looks like an easier job than on a RWD Volvo. Basically remove and replace.
