Upper Engine Torque Rod Bushing-Urethane 850 1994

Any body install one of these?
Upper Engine Torque Rod Bushing-Urethane ,this is a two part bushing that comes with a sleeve(I have used something similar on the rear end of a 240).I assume that I can leave the original bushing shell in the torque rod,cut and clean out all remains of old bushing, install new two part bushing and sleeve?
(1)Is there an easy way to remove old rubber w/o the use of flame?(I'm considering a utility knife followed by a rotary tool)
(2)Is the rotational position of the new bushing of any importance? (it looks pretty solid)
(3)Is there a recommended lube to aid in installation?
(4)Has anyone had bad luck with the two part bushing?
T.I.A.
