General Questions V70-XC70

Good Morning Folk ! ! !

I have just got a V70 GLT / 1998 volvo . While cleanig polishing the engine area
I noticed the Turbo appears to be water cooled... I had thought it was
oil cooled...Am I right.?

I also cleaned the throttle body.. as a lot of material I read said that this was a good idea... I expected to see a lot of carbon built-up...there was very
little and did not seem it was hurting any... What improvment should I
now expect to see...if any, Car was runnig okay.. (98,000 miles)

I also noticed two pipes (from the transmission..I think) just above the front
axel cv boot..a coupl of metal pipes going to a joint and than to one rubber unit joint.. these were too close for comfort to the cv boot so I tied them up
after I loosened the round v groved clamp... the routing seemed incorrect...
any idea where or what its for... SoSorry for the long winded explaination ../
I have had several 240's and 740 turbo etc. This is my first automatic...ughhh.

(Presently I am handicapped as am just recovering from a rotator cuff operation.
so could not go crawling under the car)
Many Thanks
Greg
