Serious Upper Motor Mount Vibration Problems 850

My mechanic told me I needed to replace the upper motor mount on my 96 Volvo 850 Turbo (70000 miles). He replaced it with the yellow donut IPD? polyurethane ones. My car is definitely vibrating/shaking a lot more than before. When the turbo kicks in the vibration is really bad. When I go up hills my car sounds like a tractor, or some souped up Honda with the annoying exhaust sound. I can definitely say I don't enjoy driving this car as much anymore. My mechanic test drove it and he tells me the sound is normal. My wife agrees with me that there definitely is more noise than before.

I also have a 94 Volvo 850 Turbo with the original rubber upper mount. The car is very quiet, makes no vibrating/roaring noises. My 96 Volvo was also very quiet before the motor mount change.

Is there anyway to tell if the IPD motor mounts were improperly installed? I can't figure out what is going on. Any suggestions would be appreciated, I am at my wits end.
