I'm at the point where the bevel gear on my 2000 V70 needs a rebuild at 190K and there are no new gears available; bearings, seals and sleeves yes, but no gears. I am considering sending my worn gears to a reverse engineering gear fab shop to have a new set fabricated but the process will take many months given their backlog and priority for doing a small project like this.

To keep my wagon on the road while I'm waiting, I need another 2000 bevel gear unit to bolt in behind the transmission (sans the drive shaft). Unfortunately I've had no luck sourcing a complete 2000 V70 bevel gear unit. I don't need one in perfect shape since it won't have any load on it but it does have to assembled and mechanically sound enough to be driven by the transmission. Wondering if anyone has one still in a parts car, sitting in a pile of parts, or lying on a bench somewhere that they are willing to part with. If so, please send me a PM. I am very interested and need to get my V70 back on the road.
