Reverse/Backup Light Switch 850 1996

I have been having intermitent problems with the reverse/backup lights not working on our 1996 850 manual gearbox car. I am trying to locate the switch and have found a switch on top of the gearbox with a connector with two blue leads from it. The switch is probably 17 or 18mm, Am I looking at the correct item? Also what's the best repair manual for this car?
