I took a look at the Wiring for my low beams today, last week I posed a question about the voltage dropping module for the low beams on the 98 - 2000 70s
I pulled the module wiring clip apart at the Voltage input to see how I could bypass the module temporarily to see how much difference it really made. First thing I decided to see how many hots ⎘V+] were there. The answer is with the high beams on 3 [Huh?} with the high beams off 2. the last one was either a ground or open but I would think it was ground ⎘V -] so what was the other hot lead for? any Ideas?
It is sort of a moot point because short of butchering the harness there is no easy way to bypass the module unless the later cars had a patch harness to bypass the module.
Any how I'm going to swap to e code lenses to see if that clears up my reduced low beam coverage.
Lastly There are two adjustments I can see for each assembly. One on top of the lamp assembly there is one adjuster marked "R" and 'L". does that mean left and right or raise and lower? Then there is a much smaller white knob sticking out of the back of the lamp housing [at a right angle] what does that one do?
ok that's it!
