First, a thanks to everyone on this site who helped me with my intermittent engine failure problems - turns out it WAS the fuel injector relay. Replaced it for $60 and haven't had a problem since, knock on wood.
Any suggestions for my latest problem will be much appreciated. Here's the situation: I have a 1993 850 with 115K miles. In the past couple of months, the climate control system has worked intermittently. The blower motor has stopped working - regardless of whether the A/C is turned on, what temp I have the dials set to, or what speed I have the sliding switch moved to, not even on the "aut" position, not even when recycle is on. My independent, reliable mechanic pulled out the blower motor and reconnected all the wires and it worked for a week before it gave out again. He said the blower motor is fine. He thinks it might be a problem with the A/C control (panel?)
I've read a lot on this site about broken solder connections? Could this be it? How and where could I check this out myself or have my mechanic look for it?
Thanks!
Ginger
