Driver's side sun visor question 850 1995

Has anyone ever had any success in repairing oyur sunvisor. Mine won't stay fully seated in the up/stowed position. It drops down about 3/4". Also, when you need it during driving into the sun, it won't remain in any position but near fully pointed to the floor or towards me or the dash, not further away or closer to me to be of any use.

Help.

Driver's side sun visor question 850 1995

Bob--the previous posts say it all. Hit a wrecking yard and score another one. I bought a visor with a garage door opener to install on my 97 GLT wagon I shipped to Norway for the wife, only to discover that the opener wouldn't work in Europe because of different garage door frequencies. I looked that visor over carefully, wondering if I could take it apart and get at the guts of that opener, and the answer was no. Volvo got you on this one. Like I said, go score one from a wrecking yard that works. Not a spendy item. Dick

I found a replacement on eBay. It may not look all that great but you could also try a small piece of velcro.

Good luck.

Had the same problem in my '97. Couldn't find a way to fix it, and had it replaced. About a year later, the passenger visor started drooping... but I sold the car and haven't heard any complaints from the buyer.
