850 OEM Speakers 850 1996

I have a 850 R and the rear driver side door speaker is poping, I think it just needs to be changed...does any one one know what the avarage going rate is for both New and Used...I think the OEM speakers are great, there loud and it has a great sound....don't want to change them out just yet...

Thanks in advance..

crutchfield.com has a great selection of comparable speakers. In almost every case, OEM speakers cost more than aftermarket upgrades. Plus, once it's behind the speaker grill, you won't know whether it's OEM or an upgrade anyway. I say if you replace them, you will be very pleased with the improvement in sound. My $.02

Ever thought of using spell check or check your spelling when you write? It makes your writing look better. I know you probably could care less and think I'm an sob for saying what I did. Not trying to be offensive, just helpful.

Not that you would have a mind...

Enough said..I knew I would receive flack because some people are upset by objective comments (why I don't know) even when they aren't pointed at themselves.

At least the original poster was polite. Maybe you should follow their lead?

Rjimenez4399,
You might have a bad ground, causing the popping. Remove the speaker grills, loosen the speakers and check the wires and magnets for good connections.

Rick,
This guy's spelling wasn't that bad. What are you going off about? Ever thought of using your diplomacy checker?!
Don't lose a nut over it.

If you had actually read what I said diplomacy was used. The original poster of this message picked up on it? Kind of funny that you didn't??
