Low Oil Level Indicator Light 850 1993

My dash Low oil level warning light has been coming on when starting - but it only does this about 20% of the time. Oil level is fine and on future starts the light stays out. No codes to pull.

Is it true that the oil level sensor is a problematic item on the '93 850's? Is there a way to manually turn off the light if this is so? Do later 850's even have this light?

    They are a pain and they were not used from 94 1/2 and later cars. The float switch sticks and turns the light on. The sensor plug is on the front middle of the oil pan. Disconnect the plug to the sensor and stow it.
