How can I test if AWD is working? V70-XC70 2003

You have the Second Gen Haldex 2003-2005 on your car.
Make sure that the AOC Fluids and Filter are changed out every 40K - 50K miles on the car. Volvo Dealerships will tell you that this fluid is a lifetime fluid; it is NOT!
Most people get frustrated when they burn out the AWD on their Volvo's and then get shell shocked on the repair cost. I see many Volvo Vehicles turned into dealerships when the AOC burns out, because of the misleading Dealerships sales practices when new.

The quickest and easiest way to check is just go to a garage have the car lifted a few feet off the ground and put the car in drive. All 4 wheels should be spinning. This can be done in about 15 minutes tops.
