17” ‘R’ rims fitment. C70 1998

I traded for a set of 17”x 8” ‘R’ rims for my 1998 HPT C70 with 17” Canisto rims, 235-45/17 tires. Will these rims fit and what size tire would fit? I’ve switched from 225-45/17 to the wider footprint without any rubbing on full turns.

I also considered R rims for my car - make sure the lug nut cones fit your wheels.
