My first idea is that your "4 qt atf drain and replace" is bad practice.

The pan only holds about 2.5 quarts. So perhaps you've been overfilling the transmission by 1.5 quarts every time you do this. Considering that the transmission only holds about 8 quarts, you may be overfilling the transmission by almost 20%. This is a case where "more is NOT better".

You really should use the dipstick as your guide for how much to fill the transmission.

      All good places to start.
Fluid level is right between the marks, I put 4 in because 4 came out of drain
can not find a pan in the traditional sense.
I am exploring motor mount or exhaust hitting
      good potential
      thanks

Unless you park on an incline without the Ebrake set, there should be no difference between P or N. If there is an incline, check the motor mounts and tranny mount.

What are the rpms at idle? Are the spark plugs in good shape? Too black is an indication that there might be a vacuum leak.
