torque rod bushing took 2 hrs...but done V70-XC70

Replaced my upper torque rod bushing using the 3 piece kit from FCP. Looked easy and straight forward and figured I would save some bucks...

Then the fun started.

Decent amount of force to remove the nut and bolt but got it off.

Removed the (already broke from both sides...rubber bushing "innards") and then realized the ruber for the "outer" part of the OEM bushing was stuck to the metal O mount. Cursed and moaned and tried to gently use a flat head to remove or "scrape and dislodge" the rest of the horribly weathered and stuck OEM mount.

Fast forward about 40 minutes, add some patience to the mix, a ball peen hammer, and some determination, moving of the intake and Voila, the rest of the mount popped out. All in all I am glad it came out but could not believe how badly the old mount was "stuck".

Wanted to share, originally I said sure, gimme 15 minutes. Well +1 hour and it is done.

Just some food for thought if your engine is up there and the bushing needs replacement...glad I had the extra free time!

Oh and if anyone in central MA would like a free Mann air filter for a T6 Volvo let me know. I ordered the wrong one from FCP, and after already driving there to pick the stuff up (1 hr each way) I figured the cost in gas to return is not worth it.

Its part number 9454647 on FCP, looks to fit various motors, except mine :)

First come first serve, willing to meet other brickboarders in Central MA...
