Hi Folks,

After perusing some of this forum's old posts I have diagnosed (correctly I hope..:) that the squeaky noise from the front passenger side of my car is a bad spring seat. The top nut turns easily.

I understand the cheapest option would be to remove just that strut, put in a new spring seat and mount, then replace the strut. The struts seem to be fine.

At this point, I am undecided on my course of action. I might do just the bad spring seat and its mount. Or I might wait, then do everything later - struts, mounts and seats on both sides. Klaus and others have suggested using XC90 OEM spring seats. Should I also use XC90 OEM strut mounts? Are there any other parts that should be checked or replaced while the strut(s) are out? Any other suggestions?

The car has 175k.
