My 2002 V70 (non turbo) right (passenger) front signal bulb needs replacement. I was able to remove the electrical wire from it by depressing its spring lock with two screwdrivers, but alas the bulb is still in its grey plastic holder in the chassis. After moving a few cables and shifting the window washer fill tube, i can barely get a needlenose visegrip on the plastic bulb holder. Is it a bayonet critter and i need to rotate it CCW 90 degrees? Do i also need to push in (gulp) at the same time??? I did the other side of the car 3 years ago but was not wise enuf to record my method. I don't want to break the plastic in my (%$*#@) "enthusiasm".
I would dearly appreciate any comments of your experiences.

Check the left side again, the right will work the same way. Sorry, I don't have a P2 car.
EDIT: from your owners manual:
Switch off all lights and turn ignition key to position 0.
Pull out the bulb and its socket by twisting counterclockwise. Replace bulb.
Press the bulb and its socket back into place.
Check that the new bulb lights.

My micro-saga began with my ignoring the owner's manual. But next, since my hands are extra large and even by moving the windshield washer reservoir an inch, i couldn't grab and turn the socket by hand. So i cleverly put a wrench on and broke the turn signal bulb socket. I didn't realize the socket bends 45 degrees, so the axis around which my wrench was turning was not that of the bulb's axis. Snap...and the bulb now resides in the clear lens area.
I bought a new socket and bulb (only about $10)and put it into the hole but cannot turn it CW to lock it in. Even my wife's small hands can't do it. It flashes, but in downpours some water gets into the clear lens area...to be evaporated in sunshine. I hope the extra bulb seen laying at the bottom of the clear lens doesn't bother the state inspector.

Another reason not to like the P2 cars. 1993-2000 the turnsignal housing could be easily removed to change a bulb. Just push a plastic tab and pull forward.
