Replacing Blower Motor V70-XC70

Can someone lead me to a good link detailing the steps to replace my keater/ac blower motor? This is for my 2002 V70.

Replacing Blower Motor V70-XC70

Sorry, I've been every where and can only come up with negative answers. There is a hint that the 240 blower designer, who got promoted to do the 850 evap design, got promoted to move the blower :(
I have a question out on the VVSPY site in England, but it is 3 am there now. I am going on a week's vacation in the AM, so here is the site:

Hopefully they can answer your question. I sure hope you don't have to take out the dash!!!

Thanks for the sites. I finished the job before the second link.

Turns out, as the other post said, it is pretty different than the 850. Actually, there is much less interference in the 2001 > V70. But there is one screw, the most forward ofthe five, that is a bear to get out. Everthing else, including the blower itself, was easy. Bet Volvo would have wanted two hours labor. Since I got the blower new from Volvo for $178 (retail was about $270) and spent about 2 hours my tome, I feel I got off pretty cheap.

OK. Now, tell us how you accessed it. And any "tricks".

One must of course remove both the glove box and the panel below it. To remove the panel below the box you will have to remove the lower/forward piece of trim on the center console. There is a lock that must be turned on this piece next to the passenger seat. You will also have to take up some of the door sill and fold back the carpeting. You work upwards to remove the blower (have the passenger seat all the way back and lay on your side/back looking up at the "back" of the blower assembly. I brused my side for afew days from this. The four screws are not too hard to figure out, but the most forward one will have to be removed and installed using a T-25 torx on a ratchet, or a flxible shaft extension. You can not remove it with a solid shaft screw driver type torx. Pull the assebly down and out. The back of the motor has a cover that un-clips. Two more T-25's attach the motor to the assembly. Reinstall in reverse.
