I'm looking for a second car (Volvo is the first choice, as usual) for our family. Age doesn't matter, but I want a straight car with a service history.
A Volvo dealer that once did my service work (and one that I trust) has a 97 850 sedan - base model automatic with premium package and a sunroof. They sold it new; the owner traded it recently on a new car.
It has a full service history, the price seems reasonable. The sales manager is checking to see if the A/C evaporator has been replaced.
The car would be driven 6,000 to 12,000 miles per year for the next 5 to 7 years. Is 193,000 miles too much?
If it was the old four cylinder red block with an AW-71 transmission, I'd say no problem. I'd love to have some opinions on this car.
