Anybody else out there have trouble with the AC/heat? I first had trouble with the fan speed- it ran on high all the time. I got that fixed for a couple hundred bucks and now I cannot control temperature. Sometimes I turn on the AC and get nice cool air. The next time, the air is HOT. I turn the AC off and still get HOT air out of the vents. Heat is the same way. One time we drove for two hours with no heat, then it came on. These problems occur when I use manual settings or the auto setting.

    I have the same exact problem. I got the fan fixed - it used to have a mind of it's own. Like you, I now have a problem with the temperature itself.

    Even your 40 should have a cabin temp sensor in the dash. It will have a small plastic looking grill, hopefully next to your dash switches near the center of the dash. It gets dirty and full of dust after time.
    First try vacuuming the dust out. If that doesn't work, you may have to remove it from the dash and clean it with a Qtip and alcohol. There is a tiny fan and temp sensor - be very careful, they are fragile.
