Look at the time/temp on the dash S70 1998

If the seller is trying to hide a check engine light and disconnects the battery before you show up, the outside temperature defaults to centigrade!

Most O2 sensor errors and EVAP errors will not show up for a 100 miles or so after the codes are cleared.

Also ask about the radio code! If the seller knows this off the top of his head, the engine codes have probably been cleared.
