No start problem, 1988 244GL - suggestions please...

Sounds like your plugs are just fouled. Had a panic attack when I was fooling around with the throttle one time, plugs got fouled, dried them off as best I could but maybe gas in the cylinder fouled the up again. Bought some new ones and after installing I did what I usually don't like doing and held the key till she rumbled and started. Maybe a little ether at first?
