I know there is a black hole of information out there when it comes to 960 service literature. I bought this 960 service CD a couple of years ago on ebay. Since it seems like every single day there is another person trying to sell these service CDs on ebay I figured I would share the information with the whole 960 community. I guess the holidays put me in the giving mood. This is the whole collection of files in PDF form. Each link is one PDF file. I don't know how long the host will keep them up (what do you expect from a free host) I suggest everyone download the PDF files and save them on the computer or CD. Or if you don't have those resources you can bookmark this post. Keep in mind that some of the information is specific to the 94 model year. Also some of the same information is repeated in more than one place. I have tried to give very detailed names to all the files but the organization is still confusing. Blame the Volvo translators for that. It takes some time to get familiar with the files. Most of the files are between 30-500k in side. A few are in the 500-1 meg size. System wiring diagrams and component locator files are 1.7 and 1.1 megs respectively. I could not upload those because they are over 1 megabytes. If someone else would like to host them let me know. Very nice indeed. I hate to be the one to bring this up but is this an infringement on copyright?

If it isn't, here is a nice way to download the files, complete with a table of contents in one nice searchable BIG pdf file (about 10 Megs). You need Adobe Acrobat (not the free reader) to do this. Acrobat has an Open Web Page option on the tool bar. Specify http://caunter.ca/volvo960/ as the page address and slelect the following options: at least 2 levels, stay on same path and server. Click download. In a few minutes you will have all the separate pdfs concatenated into one 383 page file, including the first page as a table of contents. This is a searchable file. I think it is handy to have all the info in one big file for search purposes.

If there are no copyright issues, I can make the big file available or send it to the host sites for them to post.

A great gift. I actually have the same or similar manual in pdf format for both the 92 960 and the 97. I was reluctant to share the entire manual in the past since I considered it a bit unfair to give away something from which someone else was attempting to make part of a living. However, enough time may have past that it dosn't much matter. It would be nice if they could be made available from the Brickboard and I suspect Jarrod could make that happen.
