Questions in regards to Oxygen sensors for Ford EEC-IV EFI

I have some questions concerning the compatibility of the oxygen sensors for the Ford EEC-IV EFI:

1) Can I use a 4 wire oxygen sensors in a 3 wire system?
2) Do I have to use matching oxygen sensors or all sensors are the same?
3) What brand is the best performing, lasting (Bosch?)
4) I heard a couple of months ago that they are some new O2 sensors from Bosch that come up to operating temperature within 6 seconds instead of 2-3 minutes. Anybody knows anything about that?

Thanks

Mike
