fuel lines

With the 44 psi plus or minus of fuel injection, the stock lines may be good for 400 hp. With the roughly 10 psi of carbs, the stock lines probably are not good for 400 hp.

The stock feed line on a fuel injected car is, as far as I can tell a metric line that works out to just under 1/4 inch -- not 5/16. The return line is 5/16. Not sure about older Volvo carb cars; I think a 1980 is fuel injected in North America.
