I think the early Bertones are an acquired taste. Few people recognize them anything special. They are very rare, in the Los Angeles area I've only seen 2 on the road in the past three years.
If you want to turn heads and get lots of comments, get a '55 Chevy with a 350ci. Then, all the old codgers will bend your ear about the one they had back in college that was "just like it".
Personally my tastes are a little more subtle
