Replace Rear Bump Stops

I continue to fine tune the Ford 8.8 rear end in my 1990 740 V8 wagon.

My latest idea is to replace the Volvo OE rear bump stops with new stops from Energy Suspension. (By "rear bump stops" I mean the cylindrical rubber stops that prevent the rear axle from bottoming out.) Problem is that I cannot figure out how to remove the OE stops. Does anyone know how to remove them?

(Note: I already experimented with cutting them so that they are shorted than stock; now I actually want them longer!)
