Getting air through the radiator

I just did some work on the cooling system of my car, a 1988 760 with a 5.0/AOD. I changed the radiator to a recored 760 model in the stock location. The radiator fits perfectly using all the stock mounting hardware. However, this puts the radiator too close to the engine to have a puller fan so I have a 16" Spal pusher on a DC Control fan controller. Because of the gap between the AC condenser and the radiator, I'm loosing some of the effectiveness of the fan because the air is going around the radiator. Does anyone know of a foam or other material that I can use to better seal the area and get the air going through the radiator? It shouldn't be that difficult, and I will head to McMaster-Carr after I finish typing this. However, there is no point in reinventing the wheel.

In other car related news, I had a chance to drive my Father-In-Law's 2005 Corvette yesterday. Wow, that is a nice car.

Thanks!

Chris
